Shannon Town Wetlands Study Visit

Join us at Shannon Town Wetlands for a walk and talk on the Wetlands during National Heritage Week on Wednesday 16 August at 11am. We will hear from the members of the local community who have spear headed the restoration of the urban wetland site in the town, turning it into an important amenity for the town’s inhabitants, both human and non-human!

Hear from other organisations involved in wetland conservation, and key stakeholders including LAWPRO and the local authority. After the walk we will return to the nearby GAA club for a light lunch and a discussion on how communities can play a key role in wetland conservation and management.
