TRAINING WEBINAR 1: RECRUITING A SAFETY OFFICER

April 14 @ 19:30 - 20:30

Have you Got a Safety Officer in your group?

As part of best practice every community wetlands group needs to have a Safety Officer and to create a ‘living’ Safety Policy.

Building on the outcomes of the recent Insurance Seminar held by the Community Wetlands Forum, we are hosting two follow-up webinars led by Colm Croffy, Chairperson of Association of Irish Festivals and Events (AOIFE). These webinars are free for current CWF members.

The first webinar, Empowering Your Team & Recruiting Your First Safety Officer, takes place on Tuesday, April 14th, at 7.30pm (duration 45 minutes). It will focus on recruiting a Safety Officer for your group.

WEBINAR 1 DECRIPTION: Where to find new team members, recruiting them to your cause, minding them – allocating some roles and then empanelling your Safety Officer need not be an onerous task and continual chore. Seminar Facilitator Colm Croffy will talk us through some effective workarounds .

The second webinar, Health & Safety Planning for Your Group, will take place on Thursday, April 16th, at 7.30pm (approx 45 minutes). It will focus on key Health & Safety considerations for community groups.

WEBINAR 2 DESCRIPTION: Health and Safety Planning should not just be about the terrible twins of Irish recreational activity, we need to protect our environment, our organisation, ourselves, our volunteers and our attendees to the things we maintain and run. Seminar Facilitator Colm Croffy will provide your team with some simple steps to guide you through this process.

We invite 2 members from each group to attend.

Please register by sending an email to [email protected].
